Dr. Michelle Reiss is a General Practitioner, a Director of Mingara Medical and the founder of the Lifestyle Medicine Centre on the Central Coast which runs the “I Can Change Me” Lifestyle Medicine program.

  • Certified physician of the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine

  • Fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine and of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners

  • GP advisor on the Healthy Weight and the Diabetes taskforce of the Primary Health Network and Hospital District

She has a passion to shut the revolving door to lifestyle induced conditions and to make a difference by delivering a program that could change a person’s life, for good, forever.


Kerry Davenport

Certified Life Coach

Kerry Davenport is a Certified Life Coach with qualifications as a certified Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner Master Coach and Timeline Therapy Master Practitioner, and a Certified Master Hypnotist.

Kerry’s background is steeped in Emergency Services, having spent 20 years working as a Sergeant in the Australian Federal Police force. Recently Kerry has transitioned into a career in Life Coaching to assist people in:

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Phobias

  • Anxiety & Decision Making

  • Finding Clarity & Direction in Life

  • Self-esteem and Dissolving Negative Beliefs

  • Accepting change

  • Anger management

  • Motivation

Passionate about sports and an active lifestyle, Kerry has been involved in sports coaching for the majority of her adult life. She has a personal passion for the ocean and Stand Up Paddle Boarding.


Paul McDonald

Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist, BPhty (Hons), APAM Accredited

Paul graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours. In addition to holding qualifications in Physiotherapy, Paul is also an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, having completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation).

Paul enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiometabolic conditions. Paul has a particular interest in managing lower limb injuries, especially knee pain and tendon-related injuries, as well as adopting a proactive approach to sports injury prevention.

Paul is passionate about applying evidence-based interventions, with a strong emphasis on exercise prescription and the integration of strength and conditioning to rehabilitation. Paul's treatment mantra is that of a biopsychosocial approach, acknowledging the role of biological structures, belief systems and the social environment in the human pain experience.

A Central Coast local all his life, Paul enjoys embracing an active lifestyle through cycling, running and triathlon, and spending time with his young family.


Taylor Bartley

Business Strategy & Development

Taylor joins the Lifestyle Medicine Centre team with a diverse history in business management, strategy and marketing, working within the public & private sectors as well as Government and NGO’s.

Taylor is a Business graduate and has a passion for creating strategies and concepts to capitalise on opportunities for success. Working with the Lifestyle Medicine Centre team, Taylor works to ensure we have established ourselves as the benchmark for Lifestyle Medicine.

Outside of business, Taylor can be found cycling on the road or in the mountains and dreaming of his next adventure getaway.


Dr. Quinten Willemse

Lifestyle Medicine Physician, MBChB, LMCC, CCFP, FRACGP

Dr. Quinten Willemse completed his medical training in South Africa after which he spent 9 years working in Canada before relocating to the Central Coast in 2008 working in ICU and ED at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals, prior to returning to General Practice in 2011.

Recently, Dr. Willemse completed his international certification in Lifestyle Medicine and shares particular interest in areas of

  • Overweight / Obesity in MEN

  • Prevention and reversal of Type 2 Diabetes, Heart Disease, Depression & Anxiety as well as High Blood Pressure

  • Adults sleep health

  • Screen time habits for kids and adults

Dr. Willemse has experienced the positive impact of personal lifestyle changes, as well as those made by patients.

Outside of the Centre, you can find Quinten enjoying an active lifestyle as a competitor in Triathlons.


Georgia Hannan

Registered Nurse, BN

Georgia Hannan is a Registered Nurse and is passionate about maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle. She has worked in the medical industry in Australia for more than 15 years, in departments covering all aspects of nursing from Emergency, ICU and various medical wards.

Georgia holds a Bachelor degree in Nursing B.N., along with a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care.

Her positive nature, professional approach and enthusiasm for life is contagious.


Michael Orford

Physiotherapist, BPhty, APAM

Graduating from Newcastle University, Michael has spent the majority of his professional practice treating musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. Michael is passionate about keeping up to date with the latest evidence in neuro-musculoskeletal injury and pain management. Michael's treatment philosophy is based on a bio-psycho-social approach, or the merging of the biology of human pain, stress and performance with the psychological and social environment; essentially ‘scientific holism’.

Having completed post-graduate training in spinal physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy and dry needling, Michael treats all neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. Michael has a special interest in managing acute and persistent spinal pain, tendon pathologies and shoulder injuries. Michael has extensive experience and knowledge in athlete performance and injury management.

A local to the Central Coast, Michael has a love of the beach and being active. Michael is a patrolling member of Shelly Beach Surf Life Saving Club. On a day to day basis Michael attends a local CrossFit box to help him continue to grow both physically and mentally.


Joshua McKim

Physiotherapist, B. App. Sc.(EXSS) and D.PHTY

Having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science) and post graduate Doctor of Physiotherapy, Josh has been working as a Physiotherapist since 2010.

Josh is passionate about assisting clients return to health, preventing injury and chronic disease through physical activity and reaching their full physical potential.

Physiotherapy is used to achieve this through empowering you as the client through education, guidance in returning to physical activity and if required assisting return to function through Manual Therapy.

Josh's enjoys spending time with his family and loves getting outside and Mountain Biking, Stand up paddle boarding and Skiing.


Lorren Wright

Clinical Psychologist

Lorren has completed a Masters of Clinical Psychology and is endorsed with the Psychology Board of Australia as a Clinical Psychologist.  Having worked in the public mental health system for a number of years, Lorren’s expertise lies within the assessment and treatment of adults presenting with a broad range of issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, past trauma, personality disorders, suicidal ideation, and non-suicidal self-injury.

Lorren uses a client-centred and non-judgmental approach to promote a sense of empowerment and self-efficacy in her clients. Along with evidence based treatment strategies, her work focuses on creating nurturing relationships, and fostering meaningful insight to produce lasting therapeutic change.  

Understanding the central role our thoughts and emotions play in all aspects of our wellbeing, Lorren offers individualised treatment plans. Her range of therapeutic approaches include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed care. .


Simon Matthews

Registered Psychologist

Simon is an AHPRA Registered Psychologist, Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional and Fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. He’s also a Fitness Trainer and Nutritionist.

He’s helped thousands of people achieve their goals of living healthier, more purposeful lives and has worked with government, banking, retail, education, not-for-profit and charitable organisations to help their staff to understand the value of healthy lifestyle and to practice the principles of living well.

Simon is also the CEO of Wellcoaches® Australia. The premier school of evidence based health coaching, Wellcoaches® trains health professionals to assist their clients to achieve long lasting health behaviour change.

When not working, Simon also loves talking about his other passions as a Pilot, Barista and self-taught cook.


Kaitlin Woulfe

Centre Administrator

Kaitlin has worked in many sectors of the business and marketing industry over the years, however, has found her zeal working at the Lifestyle Medicine Centre.

Studying counselling, Kaitlin has always held a passion for assisting others in creating a more positive and fulfilling lives. At the Lifestyle Medicine Centre, she has been able to mould both her industry experience and her caring nature together to deliver a supportive and administrative role that helps coordinate the facilitation of services here at the Centre.

Kaitlin has a passion for sailing, with a family history steeped in success on the waters. On the weekends, Kaitlin can be found playing netball and exploring the coastal walks on the Central Coast.
